The international platform provided an opportunity to present Astana’s experience. The capital was one of the first cities in Central Asia to receive Resilience Hub status and become an international mentor city.
The discussion focused on new approaches to urban development, including green infrastructure, rain gardens, reducing the urban heat island effect, and more efficient use of urban space.
The Life Cycle Cost approach was also discussed, focusing on assessing the costs of urban infrastructure throughout its entire life cycle, from construction to subsequent operation.
